The Drolet Eco 65 Freestanding Pellet Stove
The Drolet Eco 65 furnace style pellet stove is the most recent in the Drolet line-up, introduced in October 2010
The Drolet Eco 65 is a very powerful stove, capable of producing 65,000 btu/hr, heating up to 2,600 square feet and burning for 92 hours on the low heat setting. One of the options is a ducting plenum kit to allow the stove to be connected to internal ducting.
To enable this stove to burn poorer quality pellets, and to more effectively separate the firebox from the hopper, a double auger system is used. The lower auger bottom feeds the burn pot enabling ash crusts to be pushed into the ash pan.
To light the poorer quality, (and cheaper), pellets, a turbo power igniter is used.
The powerful 500 cfm. convection blower in the Drolet Eco 65 has two speeds and a noise reduction button which sets it to low unless the stove gets too warm, when normal speed is resumed automatically to cool the stove down.

Comments
The Drolet Eco 65 is very well thought out. Lots of safety features including a removable door handle and auger housing heat sensors. The control board is pictorial and intuitive.
Maintenance

Every six months: Clean and vacuum the heat exchanger tubes, exhaust channels, combustion chamber, exhaust blower and combustion blower. Brush the pressure switch, and inspect the venting system and gaskets.
