The Englander 25-PDV Pellet Stove

England's Stove Works deliberately designed the Englander 25-PDV with easy home maintenance in mind using standard tools.

Brass louvres and window trim are fitted as standard

This Englander stove uses the standard englander double auger system. The top auger runs intermittently depending on the required burn rate and allows pellets to drop to the lower auger which runs continuously to feed the burn pot.

This stove has no ash pan. Waste ash must be scooped into a suitable fireproof container.

An outside air kit is required when installing this stove.

An electrical surge protector is Recommended.

The Englander 25-pdv needs regular maintenance to prevent problems arising, particularly paying attention to carbon build up around the front of the auger and its tube which can bind the auger, cause the lower auger motor to overheat, and create a squeaking noise in operation.

The standard brass louvre and door trim raises the appearance of this stove above utilitarian.

Maintenance

Daily:

Scrape burn pot clean.

Every Three Days:

Remove Ashes
Inspect burn pot, clean wear plate, clean out air holes.

Monthly:

Clean ash from behind the baffle plate, scrape creosote from the front of the auger and tube (this can bind the bottom auger and cause a squeaking noise). Remove ash build up from flue pipes.

Annually:

Remove and clean the burn pot, replace the gasket. Clean the combustion blower and its tube, replace gasket. Inspect flue and clean if necessary.

Every Two Years:

Replace the door gasket.
