Selkirk Stove Pipe
Selkirk stove pipe was first manufactured in 1933 by Selkirk Metal Products in Selkirk, Manitoba. The raw material for the first pre-fabricated, insulated metal chimney was a used Coca-Cola advertising sign.
Corrugated metal was first used to separate the inner and outer layers until the Selkirk stove pipe revolutionary pipe coupling system was invented which allowed air to be used as the insulation material. It still is. |
